It is cold and dark when I wake up and head out. The air is fresh and it fills my lungs. My senses are sharp. There is no light on the horizon, but I know it is coming. I hope it fills the clouds with colour and sets the sky on fire.
I like being out when everyone else is in bed. Seeing when everyone has their eyes closed. Breathing when everyone else is snoring. I am a morning person, and love it. I grew up on a farm in the far north coast region of NSW Australia. I was always up and about early, running around the bush. I guess that is where I learnt to appreciate the landscape and have always felt at home when surrounded by nature. I have now mixed my passion for nature with a camera and capture what I see. Like any photographer I do not limit myself to landscapes. I have several weddings in my portfolio and enjoy experimenting with macro photography. Some old hobbies of mine, such as motocross, are fun to shoot, and I find animals very photogenic, especially pets.
I now live in Melbourne, working as a Piping Designer. But I take any chance I get to head out of the city and capture natural landscapes.
I carry only the essentials, but do not compromise on image quality.
